Peridynamic analysis of fatigue crack growth in fillet welded joints

چکیده
Fatigue assessment is one of the significant factors to be considered for estimating design life structures and structural reliability during operation. Especially, welded structures, high stress concentration, residual stresses, weld geometry quality make structure more vulnerable fatigue failures. Therefore, approaches that are effective required performances structures. Existing classical methods predict crack propagation under cyclic loadings have some difficulties in treating complicated patterns growth. However, peridynamic theory has advantages on dealing with discontinuities. In this study, a model, which bond damage model remaining life, validated by considering ASTM E647 standard compact tension test After validating PD performance fillet joint presented predicting growth loading conditions.
